Two Album Projects

Album One: Panther Dance 
 
Panther Dancewill at some point be the first full album of music and lyrics byMichael Gutierrez-May. The songs of Panther Dance, which include oneinstrumental, "A Song for Emily" deal with the complications of human relationships and the fallable beings,namely ourselves, who pursue themand learn from their mistakes along the way. The hard lessons arenecessary ones-the songs are dark at times. Panther Dance does notflinch from this reality, and the songs underscore our complexity inpursuit of that most precious of goals, the relationship.
 
There are eleven songs on the album:

Album Two:  The Hull If I Know Project

 
Thealbum Hull If I Know is one half a suite of songs centered on thethemeof my impressions of life in the seaside community of Hull, Massandthe famous Nantasket Beach there. The second group of five songs isagroup of songs never recorded before but which cry out to berecordedfor posterity.

If You Love: The EP Project

Perhaps you have noticed independent releases are getting shorter,more compact. Keeping with this trend, I am planning to work on aprofessionally recorded five song EP to be titled If You Love. I wouldlike to return to Bristol Recording where I recorded Tenderness and Joyas I enjoyed working with Chris Billius there and I felt he addedseveral nice touches to my recordings in a very brief time span.

 The five songs are recent, three from FAWM 2010, one from mysongwriting class with Bob Franke in Cambridge this past March. If YouLove, the title song, was written during the 50-90 endeavor lastsummer, 2009. I always thought it would make a good theme for an albumproject. The songs are:
